Enrolment Options for Empower Skating

We are glad you are interested in our Empower Skating programs! We offer various sessions for different ages and levels of skaters. We will describe the options below.

Full Time Enrolment

Most Economical

Full time enrolment means that you register for the entire session and pay the full fee in advance. This option is the most economical, secures you a place in the session and lets you participate in all the planned classes. When you enroll full time, you can take advantage of the progressive development of skills taught and monitor your improvement throughout the session.

Progress Tracking

10% Family Discount

Our power skating clinics offer a family discount for full time enrollees who have more than one child who wants to join. The first child pays the full session price, but each additional child gets 10% off the session price. This way, you can enjoy the quality of our skating instruction for your whole family and save money.

The family discount only applies to siblings who enroll in the same session. Please note that the family discount cannot be used with any other offers or promotions.

Drop In Passes

Flexible

Drop in means that you do not register for an entire session, but instead pay a fee for each class that you attend. This option gives you more flexibility and choice, as you can decide when to join based on your availability. Drop in also allows you to try the class without committing to a full session. However, you may miss the progressive development of skills if you do not attend regularly. Drop in participants are encouraged to register early to secure a spot.

Drop in is more flexible and convenient but costs a bit more than full time enrollment. You need to pay for drop in in advance. You can use it for any class that has available spots, as long as you register 48 hours before the class starts . This enables Empower Skating to have the right amount of coaches or helpers for the class needs.

Drop in has some terms and conditions:

Drop in passes are non-refundable. You cannot get your money back for unused classes.
Drop in passes are subject to availability. Register early for drop in to guarantee your spot. Priority will granted to full-time participants, so availability for drop ins will be limited.
Drop in passes are transferable within the family. You can share your drop in passes with your spouse, partner, children, or siblings who live in the same household as you. However, you cannot transfer your drop in passes to anyone outside your family or household.
Unlike full time enrollment, drop in passes do not offer progress tracking.

Team Power Skating Sessions

Teams

In addition to our regular full time and drop in programs, we also offer team power skating sessions that are tailored to your specific team needs and goals. Team power skating sessions can be booked during your team practices. We will work with team coaches to design a customized program that focuses on the following areas:

Power skating techniques: learn how to generate speed, power, and agility with proper edge control, stride mechanics, balance, and coordination
Puck and ring handling: integrate power skating skills with puck and ring control.
Team tactics: apply power skating with puck and ring skills to various game situations, such as breakouts, forechecking, backchecking, transitions, and offensive and defensive plays.

Coach Development Program

Coaches

If you want to learn how to teach power skating to your team, you can choose our coach development program. Coaches will participate in the player power skating sessions where they will observe and assist our certified power skating instructors during the sessions.

You will acquire useful knowledge and skills that will help you enhance your ability to guide your team on skating skills throughout the season.

You have the option to join all classes in a session or select the ones that fit your schedule. You enroll in the coach development program the same way you would for power skating session.

The coach development program costs $20 per class. The program has limited spots, so we encourage you to sign up as soon as possible.
